So after the first awesome round of wineries, lunch was to be had and bankevair
raved about this little place up in Olinda.Pie In the Sky
has some pretty awesome pies and they can be served with chips, mash and/or salad. The Tandoori Chicken is the yum, but the SO's Beef Rendang doesn't taste like rendang at all. Can't say the mash was particularly tasty either and the gravy had a powdery aftertaste.
Olinda is a very picturesque little village and with the tree lined streets covered in the autmn shades of gold and bronze, a walk outside in the chll is as gorgeous as it is visiting the shops.
We wandered into Mangana Olinda
and if we owned our own home, I would be turning my wallet over in exchange for the lush furnishings in rich woods and curios they had on display. They had a gorgeous selection of stained glass lamps, box vanities, wooden boxes disguised as empty books, ornate music sheet stands and even an old coal bed warmer.
We also visited the Lace Shop, which had small quilts for sale in a white wheel barrow by the door for less than $100. Very pretty selection of table runners and dollies.
But in the end, the only purchase was by the SO, who picked up some candy at Olinda Sweet Co.
