Creamy leek and mussels linguine
11th-Feb-2009 09:38 pm

Pasta is one of those dishes I whip up when I wanna be quick - and cheap. A packet of dried pasta from Woolworths is about 59 cents and you can throw just about anything together for the sauce.

This sauce is easy-peasy: a third thickened cream, a third light sour cream and a third skim milk. If you wanna go for the rich version, do half and half thickened cream and sour cream. Cook finely chopped leek and fresh mussels (canned if you can't get them in your local fishmonger). Season with pacific sea salt (I'm in love with the stuff).

As a finishing touch, I dusted a little smoked paprika on top.
