How big/small is that spider? Today is some sort of spider theme day. My coworker had a spider in her house this morning bigger then her hand.. like, 6 inches?

This one was only 3cm from leg tip to leg tip, so not particularly large at all.

We never find such colorful creatures in North America... every spider here is brown or black -- much more menacing :P

Actually, browsing through some sites of North American spiders, there are some with amazing markings. Australia's spiders are more colourful: yellow, red, white, etc. but markings are plainer.
