The sibling brought home some guests from her rollerblading date with the German. And it turned out to be an old schoolmate from secondary school (high school, to the rest of you) and her Aussie boyfriend, who's here in Singapore for an internship.
We exchanged hellos, how-have you-been and you-look-the-same!. It was a very civil exchange and they were invited to dinner. The guys, including the SO were quite happy to chat about everything being a foreigner in Singapore (kopi vs coffee, etc), as the sibling pulled out our yearbooks to embarass the old schoolmate with kiddy photos from yester-year.
The next day, the SO quietly told me that the sibling had initially wanted to invite the old schoolmate and her boyfriend to our day trip to Malaysia, but she was worried about how the old schoolmate and I didn't have the best of relations in secondary school.
I was shocked, cuz everything that happened in secondary school happened in the past. It was HIGH school. Who goes around carrying shit from high school? Sure, I wasn't a saint and I probably made some girls' lives a living hell (stupidity and contestants in popularity contests got my panties in a bunch). But was I that bad that people still feel the sting of my tongue after (good god) 11 years?
