The weather is finally warm enough for us to cycle to work. I don't have anything against the cold, but I reckon the $5 a day to hop onto public transport (which in my case is a peaceful ferry ride up and down the Brisbane River) trumps freezing fingers on handle bars and the possibility of no hot water at the showers at work. The drawback is now my thighs ache from lack of exercise all winter.
Nonetheless, it is gorgeous to cycle past rows of gorgeous blooming jacaranda trees. The purple blooms fall like snow in the breeze and everything just seems right with the world.
Hopefully my legs won't regret this tomorrow morning.
